We are looking for a talented Teacher of Girls’ PE to join our supportive and dedicated team of staff at the
school. This is an excellent opportunity for either an NQT or an experienced teacher looking for a new

We are looking for someone who:
• Has a proven track record of successful teaching and holds QTS (or equivalent) and a relevant
undergraduate degree. (although we welcome applications from newly qualified as well as experienced
teachers)
• Has a commitment and willingness to constantly improve their own practice
• Has the ability to build good relationships with all students and colleagues
• Is fully committed to optimising the opportunities that are available to the students, including the Duke of
Edinburgh Award
• Is keen to drive the development of partnerships with other schools
Students are engaging and have a passion for learning. The successful candidate will be expected to
contribute to the wider life of the school and demonstrate a commitment to the delivery of extra-curricular
and enrichment activities both at lunchtime and after school. A respect for the Islamic ethos of the school is
also essential.
Manchester Islamic Grammar School for Girls is an independent all girls 11 – 16 secondary school located
to the south-east of Manchester City Centre, in Chorlton. We are a relatively small school of approximately
240 students, which has been rated outstanding at its last three inspections. Students are well motivated,
with passion for learning and outstanding behaviour.
Normal school holidays apply, and additional holidays are given to accommodate the school’s faith.
