Admission Process

All pupils sit an entrance examination in English and Mathematics to determine their level of attainment and to help us ensure they meet the required academic standard for entry into the school. Entry to Year 7 is achieved by passing the entrance exam in English and Maths together with an interview with the Head Teacher.

Candidates wishing to apply for entry in other years will also need to sit examinations. This is to determine academic standard within key areas of the National Curriculum.

All admission documents including registration form and fee structure can be obtained from the school, please email – or you can download the registration form below:

English as an Additional Language – (EAL)

The majority of our pupils speak other languages than English at home. They are at various stages of learning English as an additional language. The school has developed a strategy to develop literacy in all subjects, so as to raise standards of English of every pupil. Most pupils are Bi-Lingual.

Special Educational Needs – SEN

The School does not have suitable provision for pupils with SEN. However, pupils are closely monitored if a pupil is identified who has a particular learning difficulty, the school will inform the parents to ensure external support is given. Equally, gifted and talented pupils are identified and appropriate challenging work is set so that they achieve their maximum potential.
